Kanak Durga Colony, located near a prestigious educational institute, faces challenges in education. The founders, Mr Prem Prasad, Mr Shashikant, and Mr Sudeep Adhikari, decided to help the next generation by ensuring every child receives an education. In 2013, they founded MIMA, a non-profit organization, which provided free educational classes to children. MIMA focuses on three rights: Right to Education, Right to Equality, and Right against Exploitation. Over the years, it has taught over 700 children, empowering young people and empowering women. In addition to education, MIMA organizes extracurricular activities, such as sports, painting, and debate competitions, to promote equal opportunities for all. They also offer English classes and programs for mental and social development. MIMA also organizes donation drives, campaigns, street plays, and cleanliness drives to ensure education and safety in the community.
