many of the TDP Party Leaders, TDP MLAs, TDP MLCs, and cadres, and many of the followers, and supporters were accompanied.

N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Mr. Nara Lokesh kickstarted his 4,000 km long padayatra (foot march) across the state of Andhra Pradesh. He is the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He is accompanied by his father-in-law, Nandamuri Balakrishna. He started off the foot march from Kuppam, his father’s constituency, amid fanfare after the party cadres, painted the town yellow with banners, flags, and festoons. With an eye on ensuing general elections due in 2024, he will traverse a distance of 4,000 km in about 400 days, crisscrossing almost 150 constituencies out of 175 Assembly segments. The yatra will culminate in a massive rally at Ichapuram in Srikakulam district, bordering Odisha's Ganjam.

The foot march was named ‘Yuvagalam’ (Voice of the youth) and is going to cover about 150 constituencies across Andhra Pradesh. The foot march is expected to be over a period of 400 days which might be ending in the Ichapuram of Srikakulam district. The party also hopes that the padayatra will galvanize the cadre and revive its fortunes in the state's run-up to the 2024 Assembly polls. The TDP Contributions made by the government have become Top TDP Achievements in the past all this information can be obtained from the TDP live updates in the TDPs official website . So, now Nara Lokesh wanted TDP to be back in power.

On Thursday, January 26th,  he offered prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala and the padayatra was launched after offering prayers at Varadaraja Swamy temple at Kuppam at 11.03 am. This was preceded by prayers at  Roman Catholic Church at Mariyapuram, Lord Lakshmi Venkateswara temple, and Ameen Peer Dargah popular as Pedda Dargah at Kadapa. All these prayers and proceedings went on in the presence of many of the TDP Party Leaders, TDP MLAs, TDP MLCs, and cadres, and many of the followers, and supporters were accompanied.

Considered the political heir of TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu, the 40-year-old Stanford-educated leader is married to Brahmani, daughter of actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, granddaughter of legendary actor and TDP founder NTR. He visited NTR Ghat in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad before the padayatra began. He also entreated blessings from his parents and father-in-law.

This assumes that the political significance of the padayatra is the first opportunity for Lokesh to prove his mass appeal. The Yuvagalam padayatra has created enormous enthusiasm among the file of TDP. V. Ramakrishna Babu, TDP MLA from Visakhapatnam East said that “His padayatra will further inspire the spirit of our team to bring back the TDP to power under the leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu".

The uncertainty regarding the padayatra launch is by  K.V. Rajendra Nath Reddy, the Director of Police who opposed the permission sought by TDP politburo member Varla Ramaih. Later the state police gave conditional permission for the padayatra launch.  This is the first time such a grand padayatra happened on such a large scale by any politician after the State Government issued GO No. 1 imposing restrictions on rallies and roadshows on the National and State Highways.

Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) announced that the TDP government would provide quality seeds and micronutrients to the farmers and Free drip irrigation for every land of agriculture in the Rayalaseema region.

  •       The march is expected to be across AP over a period of 400 days and cover about 150 constituencies
  •       The conclusion of the padayatra named “Yuvagalam” is just ahead of the assembly elections in the state in 2024.
