Helping your team go undefeated in October

English Professional Soccer League (EPL) Wolverhampton striker Hwang Hee-chan has been named the club's Player of the Month for October.

Wolverhampton announced on Thursday (October 14) via the club's official channels that Hwang Hee-chan has been named the club's Player of the Month for October.

Competing with striker Pedro Neto and defender Craig Dawson, Hwang finished first in the voting.

Hwang was recognized for recording an offensive point in all three EPL matches in October. During that time, Wolverhampton went undefeated (1 win, 2 draws).

Hwang scored his fifth goal of the league in the eighth round against Aston Villa on October 8, helping the team to a 1-1 draw. He followed that up with an assist on Sasha Kalajic's goal in a 2-1 win at Bournemouth on the 21st.

On the 29th, he scored the equalizer in the 26th minute of a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United. Notably, the goal against Newcastle was Hwang's sixth league goal of the season, the most he has scored in a single season since joining the EPL in the 2021-2022 season.

Meanwhile, Hwang Hee-chan has been called up by Jürgen Klinsmann's South Korea squad for the November A-match break.

Klinsmann's men will face Singapore at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Nov. 16 in the first leg of their second Asian qualifier for the FIFA Confederations Cup North America 2026. On the 21st, they will play the second leg away to China. 19가이드03
