Dodging is not just a binary action—it’s also about where and how you roll.

Roll Into, Not Away: Many wide attacks sweep outward. Rolling into the attacker can place you behind them, opening counterattack windows.

Side-Rolling: Most linear magic or Elden Ring Items melee attacks can be dodged with a sideways roll, keeping you close to the target.

Backstepping and Jumping: For quick retreats, backsteps are faster than rolls. Jumping can evade ground-based AoE attacks or low sweeps.

5. Armor Load and Dodge Efficiency
Your Equip Load determines your dodge type:

Light Load (<30%): Fastest dodge, longest i-frames.

Medium Load (30%–70%): Balanced dodge with good distance.

Heavy Load (70%–100%): Slower dodge, fewer i-frames.

Over 100%: You can't roll at all.
