Steam's free trial feature

The only game that provides this Free Trial option at the moment is the remake of the 2008 classic Dead Space. There is currently no Free Trial capability available for other well-known platform games.

Undoubtedly, there are questions about how this newly announced Free Trial feature by steam will interact with Steam's refund policy. Customers may request refunds via Steam within 14 days as long as they've played for under two hours. Full-access trials are included, but this raises the possibility of abuse because users could use them for longer than the authorised two hours without being charged.

There is little doubt that Steam is taking this into account, and a comprehensive plan will be in place to deal with any attempts to misuse the system. However, the platform hasn't offered any specific information regarding any possible alterations that distributors and developers might make to the test period.

The only game with this Free Trial option as of right now is the remake of the 2008 classic Dead Space. The Free Trial capability has not yet been added to other well-known games on the platform. If this trial is effective and becomes popular with users, it might have an impact on future game releases. Developers may receive negative criticism if they decide not to offer the Free Trial functionality.
