In-game purchases are now common in free games. The actions of withholding facts or agitating you in order to urge you to purchase power-ups for those games are strong symptoms of this problem. Free games appear to contain a catch in that they will try whatever method to get you to pay—often significantly more than you would pay for the game directly.
