In October 2016, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, launched an energy calculator aimed at helping households and businesses in the state calculate their energy consumption and carbon footprint. The energy calculator, developed by the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM), was a step towards promoting renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions in the state.

The energy calculator was designed to help users input their electricity and fuel consumption data to get an estimate of their carbon footprint and suggestions for reducing their energy consumption. It was made available on the APSECM website and could be accessed by anyone free of cost.

The launch of the energy calculator was seen as a crucial step towards making Andhra Pradesh a "green state" and a leader in sustainable energy consumption. The calculator was designed to encourage people to adopt more sustainable practices, raise awareness about energy consumption, and reduce carbon emissions in the state. At the launch event, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the importance of reducing carbon emissions to mitigate the impact of climate change. He emphasized the need for the state to embrace sustainable energy practices and take a lead in promoting green technologies.

The energy calculator was widely appreciated by experts, environmentalists, and residents of the state. It was seen as a useful tool to help people understand their energy consumption and take steps toward reducing their carbon footprint.

The calculator was easy to use and provided users with personalized suggestions for reducing their energy consumption. Users could input their consumption data and receive estimates of their carbon footprint, along with suggestions for reducing their energy consumption, such as switching to energy-efficient appliances, using public transport, and adopting green technologies.

The energy calculator was part of the state's larger efforts toward promoting renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions. TDP Government had set an ambitious target of generating 10,000 megawatts of solar energy by 2022, making it one of the leading states in India in terms of solar energy production.

The launch of the energy calculator was seen as a crucial step towards achieving this target, as it would help raise awareness about energy consumption and encourage people to adopt more sustainable practices. To know more about this recent news visit TDP’s official website.

Overall, the energy calculator was a useful tool to help people understand their energy consumption and take steps toward reducing their carbon footprint.
