United States district judge Richard Kyle said in a statement that "This judge does not see any need for this particular action to take place with respect to Minnesota," according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports.

"Indeed the court finds there is no reason for this lawsuit to have started in Minnesota in any way," says Kyle, via Garafolo. "Brady is a player for a team from Massachusetts; the Union is located at Washington, D.C.; the Madden NFL 24 is based within New York; the arbitration process took place in New York and the award was issued within New York."
