What started as a small initiative has now grown into a beloved part of thousands of families # helping young minds learn # imagine # and stay connected to their roots. As ChikuPiku turns six # we look back on this incredible journey # the milestones we’ve achieved # and the constant support from parents # children # and our creative community. How It All Began ChikuPiku was founded in 2019 by Govind Kabade and Amruta Kawankar. Like many parents # they loved telling stories and singing songs to their little one # Mukta. However # they soon realised there were very few Marathi books available for toddlers. With their passion for storytelling and background in publishing # they decided to create a magazine dedicated to children’s learning in their mother tongue – Marathi. They strongly believed that children learn faster # think more logically # and build stronger cultural connections when they study in their native language. This belief gave birth to ChikuPiku # with a mission to make learning enjoyable through stories # poems # and engaging activities. The Impact on Children and Families Over the years # countless parents have shared how ChikuPiku has become a special part of their homes. Children eagerly wait for each issue # and many parents have noticed: Better fluency and understanding of Marathi Reduced screen time and improved reading habits Stronger interest in books and storytelling Requests from children to celebrate birthdays with a ChikuPiku theme!
