This is one of the more difficult pieces to paint. The button mushrooms are all much alike and almost exactly the same colour and texture. It took me some time to get it right but I was pretty satisfied with the result. The yellow pepper was fun. https://collisart.com.au/products/mushrooms

This was quite a quirky take on the classic cup setting. I like the tension between the delicate china and its precarious tilt. The grapes were included as an odd twist the simplicity of the piece and to help balance the space on the right. https://collisart.com.au/products/cup

Since I did this painting it's been called Judy's Bowl for one very good reason. The bowl was given to me by our good friend Judy Davie. At least that's how I remembered it. Who doesn't love Heirloom tomatoes? They're probably the nicest tomato of them all. However, they can look very strange. The colours. The shapes. The sizes. They're what you call non-conformist.
