T1, LCK's first 'home stadium' match... Opponent is KT Rolster
T1, a global e-sports specialist, will hold T1 Home Ground, a home game event including an official LCK match for the first time in the history of LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea), a domestic League of Legends professional league, at Goyang Sono located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 29th of next month.
It was announced on the 29th that the arena will be held to commemorate the Visit Korea Year.
T1's home ground will be held in cooperation with LCK.
The opponent that will face the home team, T1, is KT Rolster, a traditional telecommunications company rival.
The two teams have a long history of competing since the last StarCraft Pro League. 바카라사이트
At this event, not only will a match be held between T1 players from the first division LCK, but also a match will be held between the T1 Academy team from the second division LCK Challengers League (LCK CL).
The significance of this event is that you can truly feel the atmosphere of the home stadium that has not been seen in e-sports games before.
To date, most e-sports games have been held in stadiums hosted by the companies that developed the games, so even though the 'home & away' method was introduced, compared to traditional professional sports, visitors and viewers who visited the site had a significant impact on individual games.
It was difficult to feel the difference.
On the other hand, in the case of this T1 home ground, 'concentrated cheering seats' are placed so that you can cheer on the team and players from the seat closest to the players.
Additionally, T1 plans to provide opportunities to experience various cheering cultures such as 'card section cheering' and 'large tent cheering'.
In addition, we plan to operate a T1 SHOP booth where you can sell special commemorative products and purchase various T1-related products, as well as a booth selling food.
This home ground event gained momentum as the LCK accepted T1's proposal.
They decided to cooperate at the league level to provide teams with opportunities for marketing and revenue diversification.
LCK plans to expand opportunities to other teams in the future depending on the results of this event.
As it is an official match and not an event match, the LCK is in charge of the match proceedings, including the referees.
However, T1 will be responsible for some broadcast production and on-site operations, including on-site camera directing.
T1 COO (Chief Operating Officer) Ahn Woong-ki showed his commitment to sustainability, saying, “T1 Home Ground is not a one-time event that will only be held this year.”
He added, “You can enjoy not only the matches of the professional teams operated by T1, but also various contents such as MCN.”
“We are planning to hold it as a viable event,” he said.
“We also have a vision to link it with the e-sports home stadium project in the future.”
This is interpreted to mean that there are actually plans to establish a home stadium for T1.
Meanwhile, T1 plans to join hands with the Korea Tourism Organization to allow not only domestic but also overseas fans to participate in T1's home ground.
Tickets for this event will be sold at Interpark, and the sales start date has not yet been revealed.
