In the year 2000, automated ticket-issuing devices were launched for use by drivers on long-distance trips across the country. As a consequence, these services have saved the number of Conductor posts. With effect from May 2000, a unique incentive program has been created to encourage drivers to operate ticket-issuing machines. The corporation has created a new premium air conditioning product under the brand name "AMARAVATHI'' to serve passengers in the AC segment on various routes in an effort to supplement and replace existing Inter-State and Intrastate routes.
