The Hurricanes and Aztecs claimed the final two national semifinal berths in this year’s field after claiming victories in the Elite Eight on Sunday. Miami, led by coach Jim Larrañaga, rallied from a 13-point deficit to upset No. 2 Texas, 88–81, while SDSU and coach Brian Dutcher earned a hard-fought 57–56 win over Creighton.

Like Miami and SDSU, Florida Atlantic made history in the Elite Eight after claiming its first trip to the Final Four in program history. The Owls, led by coach Dusty May, earned their spot after toppling No. 3 Kansas State, 79–76, on Saturday. Meanwhile, UConn and coach Dan Hurley will return to the Final Four for the first time since 2014 after dominating Gonzaga, 82–54.
