The Crimson Tide holds the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament. It's also the first time in program history Alabama has held a No. 1 seed.

The Islanders (24-10) earned the opportunity to play Alabama (29-5) after a play-in game on Tuesday in which the Islanders beat Southeast Missouri in Dayton. Texas AM-Corpus Christi will be without Terrion Murdix, the Southland Conference defensive player of the year who sustained an injury in the conference tournament.
