The TDP government under the leadership of Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is committed to the conservation of timbers. Numerous schemes have been accepted for this purpose by the state government. Realizing that the indiscriminate slice of timber is having adverse goods on the social and profitable conditions of the people, the government has taken several measures to increase the area of timber. Sweats are being made to conserve timber with the cooperation of the townspeople living in the vicinity of the timber areas. The World Bank is also taking help to cover 64 lakh hectares of timber area in the state.

  • Development of timber through timber conservation societies *Rs. 600 crore timber development plan.
  • The timber development program in the state of Andhra Pradesh has increased abundantly. The budget was 10 crore in 1995 and increased to Rs.25216.09 lakh in 2002- 03.
  • In 1995-96 afforestation was 10,000 hectares, now it has increased to 17.36 lakh hectares.
  • Conducted further than 1500 training classes for conducting scientific training to the members of conservation brigades.

Andhra Pradesh Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the civic timber demesne' Amravathi' at Kotturu Tadepalli village. On occasion, Naidu said the state government has decided to develop 15 similar premises in all 13 sections of the state and will check air pollution. Naidu, along with Union terrain minister Prakash Javadekar and the Top TDP leaders planted a sapling at a Zilla Parishad High School at the village, located on the outskirts of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu on the occasion thanked Javadekar for a blessing to allocate 15,000-acre timberland to Andhra Pradesh in the capital region.
